Catellier Dance Projects + Dance Truck @ MODA

The newly founded Catellier Dance Projects is an organization dedicated to creating intimate dance performances for the Atlanta community. Artistic director Gregory Catellier has been manufacturing eclectic dances for the discerning local community since 2002. The work explores personal and interpersonal subject matter, often to arrive at social and political themes. Catellier Dance Project employs tools from many performance modalities, but at the center of the work is sophisticated, luscious movement. Since September of 2010, Catellier Dance Projects has been rehearsing Tempo: a non-fiction dance performance, which premières at the Emory University Schwartz Center for the Performing Arts in May 2011.

Dance Truck presents Allison Rentz at MODA's Drink in Design

Allison Rentz is a metro-Atlanta artist who works in installation, performance, drawing, and multimedia to create social commentary with an autobiographical flavor. She is interested in how humans interact with each other, and with the environment. Usually composed of plastic and the performative element, she has recently been including the entity that recently consumes her life--her 1 year old son, Ping Pong. Perhaps you have seen Allison... chasing her wild child at art openings?

Allison’s art has been presented mostly in Atlanta, GA; as well as nationally, internationally and on the Web. To learn more about Allison’s projects: http://www.allisonrentz.com.
